Find Another Time For Worrying and Planning

If you tend to lie awake worrying or solving problems, you can improve your sleep by
planning to do your thinking at a different time of day. For example, you can regularly spend 10 to 15 minutes each morning thinking through your concerns and problems and making plans to resolve them. This strategy not only helps you to get organized and improves your problem solving, but also enables you to put the problem out of your mind at bedtime. You might even want to keep a pencil and paper or a tape recorder next to your bed. Then, if you should think of a new concern or new option for solving a problem, you can record it, and then fall asleep without worrying that you will forget.

NOT ENOUGH SLEEP

Sleep is a basic necessity of life,as important for good health and well-being as air,food and water.When we sleep well,we wake up feeling refreshed,alert,ready to face the day.When we don't,every aspect of our life can suffer.

IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT LACK OF SLEEP

1.Directly causes,or is linked to over 20 medical problems
2.It can also lead to mental problems,like distorted,irrationality,hallucinations,delusions,anxiety,dread and paranoia.
3.On a personal level,it impairs our memory,prevents us from learning or practising new
skill efficiently,and makes us less creative.
4.It effects workplace performance.Sleepy workers are less motivated,indecisive,make more mistakes,don't handle stress well and don't care much about their work.
5.In school,it can result in disciplinary and behavioral problem,and poor grades.
6.In children,it poses injury risks,sleepy children sustain more falls and knocks.
7.It also jeopardises the safety of workers and road users by making people more accident-prone.
8.Overall,it decreases our quality of life.

SLEEP IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME

It is a necessity.
Sleep is important to help restore and rejuvenate the brain and body.It is as important for health as good nutrition and exercise.Health experts believe we need sleep,just as we need air,food and water.
Unfortunately,we are becoming an increasingly sleep-deprived society.We now live in 24 hour society,a"rat race"where sleep is not valued.
